Hitler did no do Holocaust all by himself, it is the Volk der Dichter und Denker that helped him.
Bach, Goethe, Hegel, Marx, Engels, Feuerbach, Schiller, Brecht, Fritz d. Große and Nietzsche wrote an open letter disassociating themselves from das Volk der Dichter und Denker. Within a few hours almost all German Dichter und Denker signed it. Among the refuseniks were Wagner, Heidegger und natürlich Drumpf.

There were Sophie Scholls too! Yet, enough people supported it for it to take place. Historical heritage is historical heritage. We digressed from the proposition that education and learnings somehow guarantee democracy and himanity.

I dare say that voters who were lacking in education and learning were more likely to favour the NSDAP . Statistics indicate a similar trend in the recent US Presidential election.

On the orher hand, Hitler was no dumbass like you know who. He went to the same highschool as Wittgenstein, was a gifted artist, orator, writer, none of these attributes apply to Trump.

Ah, so Hitler woulda been one of those Elites that Trump railed against at his campaign rallies?

Hitler’s biggest failure was as military leader. On the one hand, using 1700s military history of cavalry. On the other not having enough men. Russia had unlimited men and Stalin. No turning back.

The thing that was interesting in the class was every time the professor said ‘Al Qaeda’ his shoulders went up, But you know, it is that you don’t say ‘America’ with an intensity, you don’t say ‘England’ with the intensity. You don’t say ‘the army’ with the intensity,” she continued. “... But you say these names [Al Qaeda] because you want that word to carry weight. You want it to be something.” - Ilhan Omar

Don't you remember Trump banging on about all those clever people, the intellectuals, the scientists, the career politicians and financial players, the Elites, who were serving their own interests and doing the ordinary working man down? Adolf the intellectual, with his art and books, his passion for Wagner and political manoeuvring, would have fitted right in to that despicable crew. What was Nazism if not self-selecting elitism?

;)

He probably even drank wine. Every Trump voter drinks Bud Light or Coors, the anti-union brand.

Oh, he had so many failures and character deficiencies like jealousy and envy, to mention but two. I can imagine how he must have looked at Wittgenstein at high school, this rich Jew, and smart at that!

Believe it or not, I know university professors who voted for Trump and can explain why. One of them is a Stoicism specialist I know from the stoicism scene. And it is not because Hillary lacks charisma, as some point out. We are back to my proposition that educational level and intelligence is no good predictor of political allegiance.

There's a stoicism scene?
Yeah well that's just, like, your opinion, man.
