It's often said that female superheroes are not depicted fairly, and that their depictions are overly body-focused and therefore sexist. But are they?
Here, while superman has blue on his stomach and legs, he looks like he has painted on clothes. It's not realistic, and he is depicted as very muscular and masculine. Neither costume here is overtly sexual, other than showing very fit bodies.

Zan and Jayna are dressed about the same.

No real difference here in Spiderman
Is the sexism in superheroes thing overstated? I think so. I think that all superheroes are depicted as physically appealing or of extraordinary physicality. Take "He-Man" for instance. He is mostly naked, and hyper-muscular.
I think the whole "if male superheroes were dressed like female superheroes..." line is contrived.
“When I was in college, I took a terrorism class. ... The thing that was interesting in the class was every time the professor said ‘Al Qaeda’ his shoulders went up, But you know, it is that you don’t say ‘America’ with an intensity, you don’t say ‘England’ with the intensity. You don’t say ‘the army’ with the intensity,” she continued. “... But you say these names [Al Qaeda] because you want that word to carry weight. You want it to be something.” - Ilhan Omar
