What has got worse, not better, over time?

You would think that as time goes on, everything humans do would get better.
Things would be better, as we learn more about making them and improving them.
And most things ARE enormously better than a few years ago.

But some things are definitely worse, not better. So list them here if you can think of any.

I'm starting it off with mushrooms. They used to taste fantastic. Now they taste of snot. Bland snot.
Second is music. Much the same as happened to mushrooms has also happened to music.
While there is a market for shit, there will be assholes to supply it.

Depends what kind of mushrooms. I used to pick my own wild mushrooms. Still do occasionally. It's only the mass-produced variety that have been blandificated.

Pubs ain't what they used to be either. They get fewer and worse every year. Who would have thought thirty years ago that pubs were on their way out? It was virtually a way of life in this country.

I'm not sure that push bikes have got any better, over the last fifty years. Not the ones that you buy to ride from A to B. They are heavier and harder to pedal, and spray you with muddy water. If you don't want to ride down a mountain, they are a waste of space.

London underground trains haven't got any better over the last fifty years.
I got on one about six weeks ago, and hadn't been on one for thirty or forty years. It seemed like it was the same trains, same stations, same smells, just all older and tattier.
And the maps and signs are worse than what they were.
While there is a market for shit, there will be assholes to supply it.
