What was your very best year?

Post by cronus » Fri Oct 10, 2014 11:42 pm

Since most will die of plague or in a nuclear war or climate change induced famine or maybe a oil shortage soon and the future looks bleak it is maybe time to look back and decide what was your 'very good year' before they all run out?

2015 is about to will have been my very best year - until 2016 comes along, then 2017 and so on.

That's the plan anyway.

I guess 1990 would be my b est year... I got my master's degree, lost my cherry and was not depressive yet that year.

1978. It's been all downhill since then. :lay:

And no, I was not born in 1978. I'm a bit older than that. :zilla:

It's been downhill for me since about '64. My grandmother died that year, and from then on everything was coloured by the fact that we'll all be dead shortly. Not at the front of my mind, but at the back.
After that, I lost a loved one every so often, just to drive the point home, when you might be about to nearly forget.

I guess true happiness is true ignorance. Even when a baby is born, there's the nagging knowledge that it's only got so long to live.

Maybe that's why religion is so popular. Ignorance is bliss.

What was my least worse year? Hmm I'll have to have a bit of a think about that.
