Is Jazz Still The Devils Music? Can It Change?

Post by cronus » Tue Mar 11, 2014 4:44 pm

Jazz...improvisation, lack of the marching drum crucial for a orderly lifestyle. Sleazy nightclubs with dubious smoke and lighting. Speak-easy culture. You name it and jazz is involved if it is a crime movie, excepting Sherlock Holmes and his damnable violin.

There's drugs involved in the jazz scene, powerful mind altering narcotics. It needs clamping down on. :coffee:

No. It stopped being the devil's music a long time a go. It is not new, exotic and scary to ignorant people any more.

The devil hasn't made any music in quite some time. I'm hoping for a revival really soon before I implode with in a hail of mediocrity.

I always imagine the Devil's Music to be something with far too many hillbilly banjos - and we all know that even one hillbilly banjo is probably one too many.

Jazz, when done well, is the most perfect and complete expression of our creative natures - or so I've been told.

The devil would ban music since it is a source of pure joy.

But it can also be used to inflame passions and to motivate. You'll never see a politician walking on stage to this for example.

No Jazz in Georgia.

A jazz music concert was held at Kutaisi Lado Meskhishvili State Drama Theater on June 5 2012.

Jazz compositions and variations were performed by Georgian famous musicians Tamaz Kurashvili, Rezo Kiknadze, Rezo Ramishvili and others.

Georgian jazz musicians will be touring to different regions of Georgia to popularize jazz music among the youngsters.

The project is supported by Georgia’s Minister of Culture and Monuments Protection. More than 10 similar concerts were already held in various cities of Georgia.
