Nearly 100,000 Pennsylvania voters switch from Democrat to Republican -- http://pittsburgh.cbslocal.com/2016/10/ ... epublican/

That's encouraging for the Trumpinator, because he really needs to take Pennsylvania and Ohio if he stands a chance at overcoming the Clinton Electoral Advantage.

A great reason to vote for Trump - http://www.politico.com/story/2016/10/r ... ing-229711

RNC not spending a dime to support Trump with TV ads.

Good.

Good.

That's great, because if Trump is elected, he will owe somewhere between "Jack" and "Squat" to the RNC. Fuck the RNC.

The problem with the US political system is that all it is is back-scratching, payola, and "Friends of..." garbage.

Trump's a dick, sure. But, if he gets elected, his only way out of becoming a laughing stock and disgrace is to succeed in what he's promised. He will have to fix trade deals, increase American industry and business, get more people back in the labor force, and fix the illegal immigration issue. If he is elected and doesn't do those things, he has so many enemies that he'll go down in history as the worst ever. If he does even half of what he's promised, however, the US economy and industry will be much improved. Add to that wiping out ISIS, and he could be a great President.

It's a roll of the dice.

But, with Clinton, we know what we're getting. A bought and paid for shill to big business and Wall Street finance guys. It costs her too much money to not do what these folks want her to do. Nothing changes with her. We will just continue down the road of job and industry loss, American decline, unrestricted illegal immigration, dicking around with ISIS, and silly one-sided trade deals that fuck the US out of billions.

And Obamacare.... Clinton just wants to pour more money into it. The big complaint before Obamacare was that the US spent too much per capita on health care. Obamacare has increased spending dramatically, and has raised our premiums to numbers not even thought possible three years ago. If Clinton gets in, it's just more taxes, more spending, more regulation, and more gifts to high finance and Wall Street.

With all his warts. Give me Trump. I'll takes me chances.

You can't fix trade deals. You can cancel them and put up a tax. No country will sign a trade deal that is unfairto them.Trump has no clue. Other than to buy Chinese steel!

I just wonder why 42 thinks Trump has the brain to even get started in government if the most unlikely scenario did happen and he came into power.

Doesn't outweigh the amount of reasons not to vote for him. Doesn't even come close.

Of course you can fix trade deals. You make new deals. And, clearly, countries do sign deals that are unfair to them. Deals have terms, and if a country's negotiating position is weak, they will sign a less fair deal than they would if their negotiating position is strong.

I wonder the same thing about each candidate, not just Trump. He seems as smart as much of the rest of the field.

I wonder why you would think Hillary Clinton has the ethics to even participate in government. She's used her positions in government to enrich herself repeatedly. She's a liar and she's a cheat, AND she's in the back pocket of big financial institution donors. That's all been demonstrated by the Wikileaks documents.

Well, depending on what those reasons are, I might agree with you. However, you really haven't specified. If you're talking about allegations of dirty/rude talk, business bankruptcies, avoiding taxes, and that sort of thing, I don't think that amounts to any reason not to vote for him.

What are you big three reasons not to vote for him? Try to be a bit specific as "he's stupid" and "he's a liar" can be applied to pretty much any other politician these days, including Hillary Clinton (moreso the pathological liar bit on her part). I don't think either one of them is actually "stupid," but the "he's stupid" and "she's an idiot" line is used by people wanting to express a loathing for the person without being specific as to why.

Actually, the RNC refusing to support "its own candidate" shows that there is something deadly wrong with him, given the way they already have supported utter clowns and religious freaks.

I'll give you the three top reasons I have which don't rely on how big a piece of (possible) child-raping shit I think he is, or how much of a toxic influence he is, and what a bad standard he sets. Though I have mentioned all of these before.

1. He wants to reverse the Paris agreement and double-down on fossil at a time when all our best climate scientists are telling us we need to keep it in the ground. At a time when the ice caps are melting so far back it's starting to open up a channel above Canada (and shipping companies are already talking about taking advantage of it), and we are going through a massive extinction event, not to mention the amount of unrest this will bring the world over, this is literally insane. Not to mention it sets an incredibly bad precedent for the rest of the World who will wonder why they should do anything when the World's biggest polluter isn't.

His tax plan, not so good. https://www.brookings.edu/opinions/dona ... r-in-debt/

3. The fact that he's proven to be a terrible businessman losing billions and leaving people unpaid. I'm not sure how anyone thinks he can be a good president if he can't even run a business. He even managed to run a casino into the ground.

Yeah it's pretty moot talking about Trump now. He's finished.

We can forget this ever happened in four weeks. At least by January.

He'll be The Prez, he'll have bright people on tap, but a nice easy war will also help. Somewhere relatively local, preferably with oil. Either Alaska or Venezuela. I reckon Alaska.
