So with many of you insistent that you don't have to protect yourselves, how is it to live in such constant fear of your own mistakes? Is it problematic for you that the only violence you do is through intermediaries who you don't even have to pretend to respect? (i.e. - police, military or such)
Re: Yet more problematic stuff
If someone threatens your loved ones, and a gun is required to protect them, I am guessing that you would not wield it, but would have some braver soul do it for you.
It sounds like living in fear of your decisions, to me. I can't imagine living in such fear that you can't accept responsibility for protecting your loved ones. It must be a pretty sad life.

Re: Yet more problematic stuff
You are doing your usual attempt at turning an obvious reality on its head.
For starters the chances of loved ones here being ‘threatened’ is remote. Except for outside the occasional nightspot on a Saturday night I have never seen violence perpetrated by one person on another in this country. It happens of course but it is not most people’s common experience. Perhaps you think we should all carry guns on the ‘off chance’?
Hmm..wonder which are the countries where that doesn’t work? Oh yeah, the ones where people regularly open fire randomly on the public. Odd how few occasions when that happened some far sighted citizen or two doesn't Lock and load and shoot back.

So guns are the problem, and if we only got rid of them, everyone would be nice. Got it.Rum wrote: ↑Mon Jun 10, 2019 5:00 pmYou are doing your usual attempt at turning an obvious reality on its head.

How is knife crime going over there? Is it reduced, now that all the gun-toting citizens have surrendered their firearms?
It's reality that protecting those we love is our personal responsibility. If it never comes up - GREAT! (that will probably by my experience, and yours)
The real reason most people don't want guns is that they don't feel they can handle the responsibilities attached. I understand. Probably best to leave guns in the hands of those who are suitable to have them, like cops, private security of the wealthy, and maybe Royal Guards.
In Canada, LOADS of good people have guns, and we don't have the violence you do. Maybe a disarmed populace is easier to govern.

I know that 'centrists' denouncing Antifa sounds good, but EVERYONE I KNOW denounces the Nazis.
So look, a logic fail from Animavore and whatever fucking idiots she follows on twitter.
I'm not ready to put my faith in the same people she does. I wonder why anyone would...I mean aside from virtue signalling.

Murder rates, irrespective of method/means are 4.8 per 100,000 in the USA, 1.6 in Canada and 1.2 in the UK.Cunt wrote: ↑Mon Jun 10, 2019 5:46 pmSo guns are the problem, and if we only got rid of them, everyone would be nice.
