The problem is more than a poor police force. If the police and security are told to stand down, and they do, then the administration that told them to do so are to blame, too.

Were I Milo, I would want to sue them; however, the upside of a suit is small. You have to have demonstrable injury to collect money. You don't get apologies in court, and no court will issue a judgment of vindication. There is just money damages. It's a lot of cost and expense to undergo to make a point.

The "problem" in reality is with the monsters who stormed the stage. What degree of entitlement and dare I say "privilege" must a person think they have to storm a stage, grab the microphone, assault people, and dance around screaming? These are people claiming to be "marginalzed," but they act with impunity. They are the problem.

After that, the police are the problem for not doing their duty. And, the school administration is the problem for not protecting its students and invited guests from dirty scumbags interfering with a lawful conference, assaulting people, etc.

At bottom, though, the perpetrators are responsible, and what gave them license to do so was their ideology. They thought they were doing right. They honestly believe they can't be racist, and that their actions are justified by their opposition to privilege.

Or, they could be arrested for assault and disorderly conduct, released on their own recognizance, and bound over for trial if they don't plead guilty. If they were to be treated like equals, that's what would happen.

I talked to a few of the dozen Chicago police officers eventually called into the building, and they were irate. They were well-trained, and well-equipped to handle scenarios such as this. They wanted to do their job, and remove the protesters, but administrators demanded they stand passively and watch. Once again, violence prevailed over free speech on a liberal college campus, and the administration was 100% complicit.

Well, don't chime in as if you know what you're talking about, if you haven't done the bare minimum of looking at what happened. You're sitting their pontificating about who the real problem was, that the police were incompetent, and such, and yet you're not even sure there was a video.
