The perspective of a President Cruz or Clinton, or Sanders for that matter, makes me want to barf. As between the four in the offing, I'll take the one one that the establishment politicians and the lobbying/consultant classes don't want.

Clinton makes me want to barf too, and even if he could win the convention, sanders will never be president.

I don't know cruz enough, though any religious fanatic makes me wanna barf too, but I expect the likes of him to be well liked by party establishment, or at least by the teabaggers.

Teabaggers, yes. Party establishment, not so much. But, Cruz is worse than Trump because Cruz is a religious nutter, a dominionist "Christian Nation" jerk. He thinks he was fighting for our rights when he sided with the government in keeping a 10 Commandments monument up at the State building in Texas. He's against gay marriage and gay rights. He's against trans bathroom rights. He is against atheist rights. He is anti-choice on abortion and would defund Planned Parenthood. He supported the Iraq War and is a war hawk neocon.

Still better than Cruz.

And, I'm not so sure he doesn't know what it means to be President. He's a smart guy.

I'm not sure why you think Trump is more of a loose cannon with nukes than Clinton or Cruz. Nothing in Clinton's past makes me think she'd hesitate to use them. She's in favor of battlefield, tactical nuclear weapons, and there isn't a war since Vietnam she didn't support. She's a hawk. Trump is a dove by comparison.

Cruz, I don't know, he's not known well enough this side, clinton, she's too used to keeping things for herself to be a loose cannon ever... she's disgusting, but she's regulated.

Since I live here, I would have to vote Trump over Cruz. Under Trump, we'll be fine other than the Mexicans. The rest of the world will suffer under Trump. Not my problem.

Trump is fairly liberal in a lot of aspects, but oddly he is supported by paleoconservative Pat Buchanan. And Pat explained why on his blog the three main reasons.

A secure border.
Economic nationalism.
Anti-imperialism.

And before you confuse economic nationalism with Nazism; Bernie, Ralph Nader, and the big unions were anti unfair trade also.

He also has a chance to not be an abomination at all, because if he sticks to the economic issues that he primarily focuses on, I'll have no beef with him. He doesn't give a fuck about the social issues, certainly not to oppose them. He just wants to focus on trade and industry, and that's what the country really needs. He's not going to care about making abortion or gay marriage illegal. He's going to focus on economics and national defense, and he has no interest in starting wars.
