They did that in 2008 and 2012, too.

I love how articles like this presume that none of the poor vote Democrat, and that the Democratic Party is not acting in the interests of the rich elite.
Where is that presumed?

The suggestion is that voting Republican is against their interest, yet voting Democrat would be in their interest.

This argument ultimately ignores the fact that many rich people would, therefore, be voting against their interest by voting Democrat. So, it also presumes that it's stupid for the poor to vote on any issue other than self-interest, but that it's fine for rich people to vote based on what they see as perhaps a greater good.

It also argues against social issues being important to voters, and in some voters' minds the social issues are more important than the financial issues.

You lack discernment. Those comments were from people who used to publicly support Trump, but now realize he's vastly unfit for the job. Trump is a lying scumbag and an ignorant son of a bitch...
So is Hillary Clinton.
You can't prove a single bit of that, much less make your little tu quoque.

Patriotism, the last refuge of scoundrels. "Tear down America?" What do you think is happening to it now?

It's working pretty well for me and mine, but then again, I hit the ground ahead of 90% of the world and I've made some good choices along the way.

You just don't remember the 70s, 80s, 90s, 2000s. That, and you're obviously not as successful as you think you should be, and hold the President of the United States to blame.

It would be no more a dictatorship than we have now. Just because the guy is a blowhard doesn't make him a dictator. Your hyperbole is showing.

All he has ever been is a dictator. If he didn't want to be a dictator, he could have certainly done something else by now, yo?

Well, you haven't proved Trump to be a lying scumbag either. You've alleged it.

I can prove Clinton a lying scumbag, though:
1. She claimed to come out of the White House in 2000 "dead broke" and "in debt." Politifact found that to be false.
2. In 2008 during her Presidential campaign, she claimed that back in the 1990s she flew to Bosnia and when she exited the plane she came under sniper fire and had to put her head down to keep out of the way of the bullets. This was proven to be completely false. She lied.
3. Clinton claimed that all of her grandparents were immigrants, which is false.
4. Clinton claims she was named after Sir Edmund Hillary, which is false.
5. She claimed her private e-mail server was set up in “accordance with the rules and the regulations in effect.” But that was a lie, since it violated government policy.
6. She lied when she represented for weeks that the Benghazi attack was a result of the stupid youtube video, and she knew the whole time that it was not.
7. She claimed to have applied to join the Marines in 1975 and been turned down - that's false, she lied.
8. She said Bernie Sanders wants to delay implementing the Clean Power Plan. False.
9. She says you're three times more likely to get a mortgage if you're white, as opposed to black or hispanic, with the same credentials. False.
10. She said we now have more jobs in solar than in oil. False.
11. She said "I am the only candidate on either side who has laid out a specific plan about what I would do to defeat ISIS." Lie.
12. She said "Every piece of legislation, just about, that I ever introduced (in the U.S. Senate) had a Republican co-sponsor." - False.
13. And, this whopper - "We now have driven (health care) costs down to the lowest they've been in 50 years." :funny: :funny:
14. She said ISIS is "going to people showing videos of Donald Trump insulting Islam and Muslims in order to recruit more radical jihadists."- Lie.
15. She said "The gun industry is "the only business in America that is wholly protected from any kind of liability." Lie.
16. She said, "The Benghazi probe is "the longest-running congressional investigation ever." Lie.
17. She claimed Scott Walker rejected legislation to make college loan payments tax deductible and the result was "to raise taxes on students. -- False.
18. She lied - "Not one of the 17 GOP candidates has discussed how they'd address the rising cost of college."
19. She lied - Hedge fund managers "pay less in taxes than nurses and truck drivers."
20. She lied -- "The number of jobs created and people lifted out of poverty during Bill Clinton’s presidency was "a hundred times" what it was under President Ronald Reagan."
21. She lied -- "McCain "still thinks it's okay when women don't earn equal pay for equal work."

I do remember all of those decades, and I am simply assessing the current candidates, not assessing blame on the President, although he is to blame for that which is within his bailiwick.

I'm not so sure these Fuck Yo Flag protesters at Trump rallies is a smart thing to do.......

Image
Malcolm X-inspired activists arrived at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and then a second event at Nathan Hale High School in West Allis to show their contempt for the country.

“F— this flag. F— this country. This red white and blue, this sh– is the new swastika,” a man wearing a “F— Yo Flag” baseball cap told a reporter for Alex Jones’ InfoWars.
Actually, it'd be really funny if Trump was secretly paying them to protest :{D Do they not realize this probably makes him even more popular? :thinks:

Indeed, and that is why the establishment candidates are having a hard time now. Don't trust the establishment politicians when they denigrate Bernie or Donnie. The establishment politicians are acting in THEIR self-interest, and they don't want the lobbying class gravy train to end. Bernie and Donnie are both threats to the status quo, and the fact that so many establishment folks are apoplectic about it shows that they are worried.

They flippin' decided not to hold a primary vote in Colorado, and the party just handed the delegates to Cruz. No caucus. No primary.

Paul Ryan has come out and said that he isn't going to accept any Republican nomination for president.

So two things: 1. Who are the GOP going to nominate if they don't want Trump or Cruz? And 2, who the fuck would turn down such an easy accession to the runoff for the top job in the world? Unless he thinks that Hillarious is unbeatable and he is waiting for 4 or 8 years time.

Wait until NY. Fivethirtyeight.com has him at a greater than 99% chance of victory. And, he is leading heavily in Pennsylvania, Connecticut and Maryland. If he sweeps those states, the picture will change dramatically.

But he will probably fall short of the 1237 - somewhere around 1175 is fairly likely.

If he's up over 1100 delegates, I really don't see how they pull out some new guy out of the blue and say: here, Republican voters, you've been participating in the primary process for the last six months, as 17 candidates slogged it out. Forget all that. Here's the guy you need to vote for....

That would kill the party.

Well, that party has served, for better or worse for slightly over 150 years, time to scuttle it and recreate something new.
