I really like assholes, so I will direct you the same way.

It isn't really needed, though. We haven't really found a point of disagreement yet, other than the word patriarchy.

I mean, if you want to defend a vague idea which you haven't studied, we can go on, but really, why are you so attached to it?

There have been volumes written about it being bullshit, volumes written about it as if it were gospel. We could ditch the word and exchange ideas instead, or we could keep mocking you for being a caricature of a crazy feminist while mocking me for being a bigot.

The word "patriarchy" is often used in a very unthinking way, and as a gross generalisation. However, that does not mean that there are not aspects of the current way that society is organised that put obstacles in women's way, and that could not be organised better.

"Society, thy name is woman."

If society is organized against women, it's largely because women helped organize it that way. They're not mutes.

I think women have the vote now. Heck, they might even make up more of the active voters than men. If that is the case, then this can be blamed on the gynocracy. (I would say 'matriarchy', but there is no reason to single out parents here)

But they aren't as strong as men (on average). That's why men can ultimately get their way before there were explicit protections (that are rigorously enforced) against violence and coercion against women.

This is pretty fucking simple stuff. Women have been historically disadvantaged during the formulation of our societies. That's why society has been (and still is, to a degree) patriarchal. The fact that we have equal laws for women and men now doesn't mean that patriarchalism just magically disappears. It's going to take time and continued struggle. A struggle that isn't helped by arse-clowns like Cunt and Dave Dodo who don't even admit there is a problem.

Eta: it's like the absurd libertarian claim that because everyone is equal under the law everyone has the same opportunity to succeed. What this ignores is entrenched power and bias.
