While it's true that scientists makes many mistakes, they fix them later. I don't recall anything religious being fixed once a problem was found.

Actually, this isn't true. Not everyone masturbates. There's always gonna be that small population who's too prude or too religious or too whatever to dare touch their dick/pussy with their own hand(s).
