The right have lost the plot. When gays and brown people are shot they are silent. Same too when Jewish graves are vandalised. Not a peep out of them when Trump supporters literally throw Nazi salutes. No outrage on Fox news when people are advocating a Liberal genocide.

But someone punches a Nazi shit right in his hateful gob and it's all, "Whoa! Steady on. We need to protect free speech. Libruls are scum destroying our country."

Liberal is not left. Liberals are not scum. Leftists are scum, because they believe in an illiberal, scummy ideology. Liberals are great.

The far right have lost the plot and we've known that for a long time. However, their views are not shared by the mainstream, and people don't engage in Apologetics for violence against gays and brown people. The vast majority of people know that's wrong, and nobody is actually arguing that it is the morally right thing to do to beat up gays and blacks.

On the other hand, not only are leftists taking it upon themselves to do violence against their political opponents. They are apologized for by the more moderate folks, and it's becoming more and more mainstream --- they're showing videos along these lines to kids on MTV -- more and more mainstream to argue that it is not only morally right, but also morally imperative, to do violence against political opponents. That's the difference.

There are hardly any Nazis in the US, and the KKK is almost nonexistent. There is very little in the way of "far right" in the US. What the left does is lie through their teeth and claim that Trump supporters are Nazis and white supremacists, and they are arguing that as such they ought be beaten up.

To be fair to 42, American unis seem to have a fair amount of this OTT nonsense. However, my bet is that it gets reported widely because it's basically funny, but has little real impact on how uni students operate, and virtually no impact in the broader community.

It gets published because it gets a lot of people visiting the news article and commenting, making the owner of these news sites terribly rich and worthy of being decapitated after the revolution.

It gets published because the left are turning into a train wreck. It's hard to keep your eyes off them. And, it's one thing more and more ridiculous than the last. Fuck, there was an article yesterday of the movement to make white people, specifically white males, pay a higher income tax because they're privileged. I mean, this is the horseshit we're faced with over here. Every day there is something new.

Yes, but it's only lost-plot leftists who call Donald Trump "far right" when he was to the left of most of the Republican field of other candidates. He was not nearly as conservative as Ted Cruz or Marco Rubio.
