Of course, Lozzer, I'll take your advice about what is and isn't worthy of my concern with a grain of salt.

I'm off to bed as I have an early start in the morning, feeding and paddocking six horses before a morning of teaching, then canteen duty at my son's school, then a couple of hours to spare ... might squeeze some 'angst' in if I can before going back to the horses to shovel manure, brush coats, scrape hooves and generally enjoy my outdoor lifestyle immensely ... then home again for shower, family time, dinner, a little humour, a little 'angst', some precious alone time with my partner ...

There is a simple solution. Ban moderation, not people.

Why should you care? It's the internets, you're life isn't gambled with merely because someone gives you a virtual warning. It has no bearing in the real world whatsoever. Its the same with Tfoot on youtube, so fucking what? A few videos are pulled, this does not entail the world becoming a totalitarian state.

It's precisely because it's the internet, lozzer. If you were as familiar with it as you so think you are, you'd know that it is the last bastion of free speech in the entire world. Nowhere are you allowed to be as free as you are on the internet, and it is absurd, at best, to say "so what if we have a third party dictating what we can and can not say".
"The fact is that far more crime and child abuse has been committed by zealots in the name of God, Jesus and Mohammed than has ever been committed in the name of Satan. Many people don't like that statement but few can argue with it."

I think that the reason most of us are here is because of our disappointments with RDF. For the most part, I tried to keep my comments reasonable and justified, and I was generally pretty polite, except for eviscerating stupid points of view. There was this funny time, though, that I said I'd like to light "fact-man" on fire and feed him to bears. :hilarious: ANYWAY, the offish calls I experienced were simply razzing, which was tolerated and understood as humour, at least before now. I don't think we can do all that much, because if Josh Timonen is one of those regarding their more odd or flippant members "malcontents', then he's still going to be pouring poison into Richard's ear, and that may make it harder to hear our case. But there would be only certain conditions in which I would want to come back. First off, I would like to see these fucking assholes banned from the board, because they either gave me warnings, (but I don't know, because I can't check)or acted in a bad way to other members. If I had them in the same room I'd like to beat them with something. Topsy, Gallstones, RaspK, Richard Prins, and that's all I can think of for now. So ban them, and I would also like to be an admin, to reform this deuchebaggery. I would try to dig up the old members that were treated badly and review their cases. Unfortunately the Mods have taken to deleting a lot of these, so I propose deleting all of these ex-mod's posts as well to get the stench of them out of the forum. The forum has just turned into an inane shell revolving an a broken axle of inane conversation. The banning of talk of normal monkey horniness(despite this being relative) from the forum, coupled with an intolerance for "taking the piss" out of someone when they sound like they are spouting things that make less sense than Bushisms, sucks a lot of the fun out of it and makes it much more dry and meaningless.

That seemed like one of those paragraph long sentences, where if you were saying it instead of typing it, it would all come spewing out without a breath being taken until after the very last word was uttered. :hehe:

Yes, you're the most evil thing since... erm.. something that is quite evil, because you don't conform!

You always seemed like the polite meek type. But maybe I'm remembering wrong. Since we both live in the same major city, you wanna meet for a beer or something in real life? :drunk:

Manofnofaith - as much as I like you and respect you - I will go out out of my way to see that you NEVER become an admin of this place or of RDF.

You are far, far, far too partial for a start, not to mention acerbic, impassioned, a little short-tempered at times. You're Hitler, Lenin, Tsar Nicholas: you want to be in power for power's sake and to "show us a lesson", to rally the people, to get a movement going - but anyone in their right mind ought politely to refuse you.

I've kinda wanted to be a mod on a couple of occasions, but have since let it lie, because I fear that I might be different if given that duty/position, and I might fuck up and become the complained-about mod or something. :shifty:
Then they for sudden joy did weep,
And I for sorrow sung,
That such a king should play bo-peep,
And go the fools among.
Prithee, nuncle, keep a schoolmaster that can teach
thy fool to lie: I would fain learn to lie.

You like and respect me? Well, that's a good start. :naughty: HAHAHA. Anyways, I was mainly kidding about the vitriol, but I actually do have quite a bit of respect for those with different views than my own. Just look at my argument with Paddy_Rice in the Vegans/Vegetarians thread. That is, is they haven't deleted my posts there. I could care less if people insult me, as long as it's not attached to a false implication about my views or some sort of strawman. There is a difference between calling someone a stupid cunt and calling them a stupid cunt allegedly because they help oppress the proletariat or such similar shit. So basically for comparing me to Hitler I think you owe me a lay :FIO: :naughty:  , if you're ever in the same area as me. :hehe: But I don't like power for powers' sake.
