My university is majority Hispanic. It's pretty cool. My city is now too, it must be. Racism is still everywhere. For example if you ask the Arabs what happened to all their shops, they'll tell you the Mexicans took over. But you never know if they're just telling you what they think you want to hear. And of course in the rural areas some whites are still motherfuckers. --don't get me started on blacks vs Mexicans...

But really these college kids and the youngsters I worked with recently don't seem to be a bit racist. It's amazing really!

You are mixing with young, educated people, so it's really not a surprise. My university educated sons and their friends are the same - they just think it's weird if people have issues with race, or being gay etc.

But this is just a segment of the population, both here and in the US...

SJWs need to toughen up and be prepared to hear what they don't want to hear. This is the distinction that gets lost. SJW's protesting by marching in the street, "singin' songs, and carryin' signs - mostly sayin' hoo-ray for our side" (Buffalo Springfield), is not the problem. That is the exercise of constitutional - individual rights - rights which the majority cannot take away - and that is the exericse of rights that other people cannot attack with violence.

If SJWs march down the street, sing songs and carry signs, and some asshat alt-right dickbags set fires, throw things at them, attack them, etc., then the alt-right people are in the wrong, and depending on the extent of their criminal behavior, they should be arrested, prosecuted, convicted and sentenced.

It's really very simple, but sometimes this gets lost in the weeds. Your post implies that what I'm saying is that peaceful opposition to bigotry and hatred is somehow a threat to the constitution. I never said that. I do not say that. I do not think that. If you think something is bigoted and hateful, it is wholly within your individual rights to go protest it to your hearts content, and it is not in the least a threat to any constitutional principle.

Likewise, if I think some things are wrongheaded, I can protest about them. I can post on forums and message boards too. I do not have to conform to your or anyone else's view of what is the most important issue of the day. I can post about the the problems I find with the latest Hollywood movie, if I want, even if it's not of particular importance to you or anyone else. I can post about different philosophies, political positions, religions and movements, and I can take issue with many of them. I do not have to limit myself to only that which you believe to be the most dangerous issue out there.

I can also find more than one group of people to be espousing idiotic ideas -- like -- I can oppose Naziism and the politics of the KKK, and also oppose postmodernism, social justice, socialism, communism, and other far left ideas and ideologues.

If we want to talk about "which is the greater danger" one can look at it in a number of different ways, and we can talk about that if you like. However, I would first ask that my views not be mischaracterized like this.
