I don't buy alcohol, and I don't get out much, so I'm as sober as a pug most of the time. When I go to a pub I like to drink beer, but it only takes a whiff of the barmaid's apron to set me off. The last time I was shitfaced was at Pappa and Rachel's, but before that... ah yes, Pappa and Rachel's, and the time before that as well.

Seems to be a pattern emerging there. Must be something to do with crossing the Severn.

I'm sober most of the time. I don't see what all the hoopla's about. :sigh:
I was given a year of free milkshakes once. The year passed and I hadn’t bothered to get even one.

In fact, he saw it (and everything else) double :drunk:

I think it depends a lot on the company you keep. Getting 'ripped' is a lot more fun with friends who are getting ripped.

And if you're permanently sober, then you want to get away from people who are drinking to any great degree.

That was me on Friday evening, at a going-away gig for a colleague who was moving to another office in the University. The pizzas and chips (fries :Erasb:) were nom, but once they were polished off, I made my excuses and left the others to imbibe to their heart's content.

But, hopefully, not from those who are already righteously inebriated!

By which I mean, hello KLR! :)
