I was a bit of an anarchist, though only in theory. I never actually created any anarchy. Also, I was once a scientific realist.

I suffered from this at an early age. The snap back was a bitch though.

There was a dark year or so in my mid-teens where I believed in this thing called "praying" to this invisible sky man called "god". I got over it though.

There was a lot of things around that time that I wanted to believe too, reincarnation, auras, angels, stuff like that. I really don't think I ever got to the belief stage with them though. Even the god thing I had a voice at all times telling me what I was doing was stupid. I believed it more than the other things though.

The clitoris. Never found one, so I guess they don't exist. :coffee:

Also used to think that being respectful to everyone would make them respectful to you... Yup, bullshit.

Why should you? They're out of the kitchen. They deserve no respect.

Astral projection, third eye, auras, symbols repelling evil spirits, akashik records, amethyst had special powers, apple juice induced lucid-dreams, alternative medicine like eating grapes curing a runny-nose, bell peppers stopping asthma problems, real medicine being a big scam to get your money while killing people, that drugs should be illegal/marijuana being deadly, that you could grow fly agaric mushrooms in grape-juice, easter bunny, leprachauns, santa, that I could get a date, ufos/bigfoot and other cryptozoological creatures, that rap/hip-hop was good music, that pencils had lead in them/pennies being made of copper, and a bunch of other stuff I can't remember right now.

I believed a lot of weird shit.

- Oh dear!
- No, no! Deer run too fast.

I used to think all mineral water, regardless of origin, was taken to a French town called Source (probably pronounced Soo-erz or something) where it was bottled...

I read my horoscope daily for two or three years - it was all so uncannily accurate. And then I realised I was looking for the predictions I'd just read to happen each day, and getting depressed that my forecast for the year was so gloomy... The last year I read them, I changed tack, and only read them after the period they were for. I don't think I made it past a month or two that time.

And the Christian God, Jesus, Heaven, that dead people were watching my every private moment, that prayer worked. Oh, and Father Christmas, and ghosts. My dad had a few 'mystery' books, including a few by Daniken, and I was curious and intrigued, but never believed other than in a kind of "wouldn't that be interesting?" sort of way.

In second grade I had no idea prayer had anything to do with religion, I just believed in people wanted something, they prayed and they would magically get what they prayed for. Also that year I believed George Washington was buried in the very back of my school's field. That hill-billies, hobos and hippies were the worst kind of people(I know, big WTF there), and the whole swallowing gum will end up it wrapped around your heart and make you die.
