Let's see if he can win long term, and what happens if he doesn't get the nod, he's capable of pissing in the soup and running as an independent just to spite everybody but his zombie brained voters.

Both. They are both pandering to the evangelicals.Svartalf wrote:Which of Cruz or Rubio is the one that has the religious right behind him?
At any rate both are insane to want to reinstate the full embargo agaisnt Cuba

That isn't what Iowa means. Most years, Iowas doesn't pick the Republican that ends up winning the nomination.Animavore wrote:Ended before he began.rEvolutionist wrote:Breaking news: Cruz wins Iowa! The beginning of the end for the buffoon?

Cape Canaveral. That's in Florida, about an hour from Orlando (Disney World) on the east coast. There is a NASA facility there open to the public. They have the Saturn V rocket laid out in a huge room, and various other exhibits. You can take a little bus ride around the facility and see where they do all the work.tuco wrote:One thing I never got to see and would love to is some NASA stuff.

I mean in general. I've maintained from the beginning Trump is getting no where near the Whitehouse. He's a sideshow, and we've all laughed at the clown, but it's time to get serious now.Forty Two wrote:That isn't what Iowa means. Whether he can win, long term, or not is irrelevant to the point I was making. Democracy boils down to reality show called presidential election where any idiot with with enough money and showmanship can win. This idiot then can start wars, for example, without any legal responsibility. The idiot is not the problem, the problem is that this does not seem to bother almost anyone. You guys will keep talking here about the election for weeks to come, invest time and energy, with fuck all influence over anything. Comment on reality show. And then when some idiot gets elected and fucks up something, you will blame her/him, saying we got clean hands. Problem is that we don't have any better way to choose our supreme ruler... dictarues and hereditary monarchies tend to be even worse... of course, if we could have Cincinatuses lying about that we could go to and just ask to take the reins, knowing them to be wise and public minded, that would be ideal, but those seem to have died out, so we do with the showmen and hope they won't be too bad...

The problem is, there are no serious alternatives -- Cruz? Rubio? Clinton? Sanders? What a bizarre set of candidates. Let's just appoint a horse to the job and get it over with....

Hillary has experience. She won't put a new embassy in Syria next to ISIS headquarters.

Trump might actually be the best in a war against isis as he'd be the only one willing to side with putin and assad.

So, on to New Hampshire! Another small, sleepy state that gets a lot of focus every once in a while. It's like Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania on February 2.
Well, so it looks like Trump has a commanding lead going in to NH -- http://www.whdh.com/story/31126831/hill ... poll-day-3
Interestingly, after Iowa, Trump took a beating, even though coming in second, because he was projected to win before the vote. But, Rubio, who finished third, was almost declared the winner because he had some gains. The same set up is in play for NH. Trump is so far ahead in polling, that if he doesn't come through, he'll be considered the loser, even if he wins. A close victory for Trump is a loss. He has to win big to gain credibility.
Rubio on the other hand just has to gain a few percentage points, and he'll be considered momentum-boy, and the press will glom onto him.
The moneyed folks want Rubio, it seems. Watch as wonder-boy makes a rise in esteem even without winning the early states.

LOL -- Jeb Bush has to ask his audience to clap.... http://www.mediaite.com/print/jeb-bush- ... ease-clap/
That may be one of the funniest political moments I've seen in a long time...
Just drop it, already, Jeb. Nobody wants another Bush in the white house. The brand is tarnished.
