I met a guy while walking the dog a couple of years ago. His retirement gig is seeking out one type of weed, and pulling it up. He explained that it is an invasive species that is crowding out native weeds, and he's made it his mission to reduce it's impact in a few select areas of our city.

For such an odd avocation, it seems to have benefit. Every time I see him, he is leaner, fitter, and seems happier. I mull this over as my own retirement approaches.
