Why is there something, rather than nothing ?

Post by mistermack » Sun Nov 15, 2015 11:38 am

A question that people have sweated over for centuries.

I can now give the answer.

It's not "rather than" at all.

Actually, there is something AND nothing. Because there is nothing. Plenty of it. An awful lot more of nothing, than there is of something. And funnily enough, if you got rid of all of the something, there wouldn't be any more nothing.
While there is a market for shit, there will be assholes to supply it.

In getting rid of the something would that leave anything?

'Nothing is what it appears to be'....therefore nothing could be something.

Or it could be something-or-nothing...

Nothing. You come from nothing and you go to nothing, so what you lost? that's right, nothing. :read:

But you can't get something for nothing. Or they are all lying.

Nothing from nothing leaves nothing. You gotta have something, if you wanna be with me.

If there was nothing but nothing, there would be no one to notice. It's a question that can only be asked if there's something and, in all probability, once there are things that can ask questions, it inevitably is!

The answer is obvious...

In the infinite multiverse, there are an infinite number of universes where there is no "something". There are also an infinite number of universes that do contain something. Rather obviously, we happen to belong to the latter...
