Actually I think the zombie craze is much simpler than that. The "zombie apocalypse" meme began among gun owners who coined a humorous phrase that they use when someone asks "why do you have to have all those guns?" We probably have Milla Jojovitch and the movie version of a silly video game to thank for it.klr wrote:I have a much simpler theory about this zombie craze. It's the flavour of the month. Come back in a while, and it will be something different.
The repressed males in question can better service their needs by playing violent video games, in which they are active, rather than passive participants. Much more rewarding, if you're into that sort of thing.
You see, nobody likes zombies. Nobody can rationally argue that one should not kill a zombie or that zombies have civil rights that must be respected. It's a public service to kill zombies because zombies are inherently evil and universally destructive and need to be destroyed... just like Marxists.
In this context "zombie" is a place-holder for anyone (particularly Marxists) who becomes an enemy of liberty and freedom, who, like zombies, have no rights and need to be killed as a public service and a matter of sanitation.
It's really quite a brilliant disinformation campaign that serves a very useful purpose. Marxists aren't the only ones who can use propaganda and disinformation you see.
