Is there an ignore facility here? If so, rEvolutionist is going on it until he can learn how to discuss things without resorting to insults.

[EDIT: Yes there is...
Thank fuck for that.

You could literally and figuratively murder a missionary sandwich.

Would that not make the whole question of "a life worth living" moot? As the opposite of living a life is (personal) nothingness, and if that is non-comparable, so is the worthiness of life. :dunno:

It might be stretching things a bit.

Nobody surely would suggest that missionaries are bred for food?

The term "missionary position" originally referred to stacking them on a sandwich.

When a cow is led to slaughter they are told "If you don't want to be steak say NAY". They never do.

We don't routinely eat horses, which proves the point.

Nothing and nobody has "rights" except as a legal fiction. A swift change of government and your rights to arm bears, breathe on a Tuesday or draw pictures of the pope in the bath can be stripped as simply as signing a decree.

The question should be, "Am I personally happy with how animals used for food are treated and with current legislation regarding this in my country?" And, if not, what are you going to do about it? Change your eating habits? Lobby parliament and go on marches? Or just turn a blind eye and hope things improve by themselves?
