Does anyone else suffer from an inability, or a confusion, to translate what is left and what is right when someone refers to a picture of a entity? Example: Looking at a picture of a car, and someone says right hand side headlight doesn't work.... Is that the right hand side from our perspective or the driver of the car's perspective? Same thing with pictures of people. His right ear is slightly larger than his left ear (but not so much so that you could actually tell from the photo). Is that right ear from his perspective or ours. When we talk about traditionally "handed" things like arms and hands, it's clearer. But if they are not traditionally referred to as being "handed", then what's the rule?

Nope. I assume right and left are as if I were in the perspective of operating the object or being in the relative position of the person, animal, or thing. Seems to work most of the time except for those weird people that don't understand. I wonder if they have trouble using mirrors.
