Wondered if it might be horse. Doubt a DNA test would be conclusive and never seen any Zebra farms about locally on my travels.

They told me it was horse, but maybe it was really zebra. Anyway, either way it was nice meat! :food:

This will sound odd, but any farm raiseable creature that happens to be tasty or useful, free market forces will not let it go extinct. At least in this day and age.
A rational skeptic should be able to discuss and debate anything, no matter how much they may personally disagree with that point of view. Discussing a subject is not agreeing with it, but understanding it.

Depends on how tasty. The critical factor - determining longevity or not. :coffee:

Horse meat is very close to beef in flavour but leaner. Zebra meat would be similar, one would imagine. It would only be more unethical than beef or horse if the zebra was sourced from non-renewable stocks or was killed/farmed inhumanely.

Personally, I don't eat any of the above but that is a personal choice and I claim no moral high-ground - just habit more than anything. If I were to eat beef, I would eat zebra meat just as readily.
