You should read the whole article.

By the way, Rosa spoke up for herself and others. And the benefits were not limited to black people. Every white person in the US who has had a rewarding personal, professional or any other kind of relationship as an equal with someone who was not white owes Rosa, among many others, a debt of gratitude. She helped change the world for the better in a lasting way. Thanks Rosa

Mother Teresa just exploited the suffering to get herself some good girl points with the Jesus. What suffering did she ever actually prevent? For fuck's sake if I'm laying in agony on my deathbed, just give me some strong drugs and put some good movies on the telly 'till I nod off one last time. If you have endless patience and compassion, go give a hand to someone in trouble who still has a life ahead of them that they can make something of.
What I've found with a few discussions I've had lately is this self-satisfaction that people express with their proffessed open mindedness. In realty it ammounts to wilful ignorance and intellectual cowardice as they are choosing to not form any sort of opinion on a particular topic. Basically "I don't know and I'm not going to look at any evidence because I'm quite happy on this fence."

If Mother Teresa had been black Tyrannical would agree with your assessment of her.

Give up Robert. :smoke:

Well, she was albanian... Ask anybody from the Balkans, blacks are higher on the evolution scale than that.

Yup. According to The Hitch, "Mother" Teresa believed that the pain and suffering of other people brought her closer to her god.

An evil little bitch that enjoys suffering, and priests that inflict suffering on little boys.*

Religion at its finest!

*Which of course, as we all know, whether we want to admit it or not, and if you don't admit it then you're obviously part of the problem, reflects the basic attitude of all catlicks everywhere, every single one, past, present, and future with no exceptions because it's just easier to paint with a broad brush.
I'm pretty sure that Mother Teresa derived her joy from helping those suffering in pain. Not by inflicting it, or reveling in another's suffering.
You don't really believe that crap that you spout, do you? :fp:
Half of the crap I spout is sarcastic hyperbole, half is just goofing around, and half is a vague representation of current attitudes.

'Mother' Teresa was an evil little cunt who is being promoted by the church because she's good for fund raising.

Meh, it's not rocket science. If you want to sell books an easy way is to write a blistering polemic against a cherished or for a taboo subject. Though I'll give you both Hitchens are and were better gadflies than most of their contemporaries.
