New Games

Monday Night Combat - would be great if I wasn't stuck playing on US servers. Lag is a real let down when playing online. No single-player value at all, with the exception of experimenting with classes.

Far Cry 2 - Great game, but unnecessarily frustrating - not due to difficulty, but lack of decent save. If you die on your way to a mission, all progress from secret stashes to bases cleared gets erased.
That twenty minute trek in to arid wasteland to find that diamond case? Well, get your boots, you're going again.

FEAR - Kind of fun first time around. Very boring anytime thereafter. Scares turn in to boons, you want the flicker and sharp music because it means medkits and no shooting enemies, at least until the very end.

Mafia II - Open world? No, just really big. Very little to do in a massive town. Lots of 'additions' - like turning on taps and world events - are background noise. They don't do anything, you never encounter them. There don't seem to be any sidemissions at all. The story and voice acting, however, make it quite an enjoyable single-player experience.
I expect that, much like GTA IV, give it enough time between plays and you'll be playing it for years.
Oh, and they have awesome suits.

Torchlight - Diablo lite. Nothing special, but not bad either. Good time waster when you've nothing else you particularly want.

World of Goo - Is it worth the few cents I paid for it? Not really, to be honest. It's okay, but for a puzzle game it simply doesn't have much to offer.

The Last Remnant - Confusing at first, but good fun once you get the hang of it. Typical JRPG bullshit though - androgynous heroes, main character death, incest complex...

Audiosurf - :awesome:
"The fact is that far more crime and child abuse has been committed by zealots in the name of God, Jesus and Mohammed than has ever been committed in the name of Satan. Many people don't like that statement but few can argue with it."
