The Handmaid's Tale will be very carefully regulated. Where it is allowed, it will have to have a large "Trigger Warning" emblazoned on it, to warn readers that it contains material involving oppression of women, violence, and rape (the "Ceremony"). It's tantamount to hate speech in its portrayal of women as subservient and subject to a variety of roles.

It Can't Happen Here is to be banned as ethnocentric and xenophobic, and it microaggresses against Europeans, suggesting that they have a propensity toward fascism and that while Americans don't generally think of themselves as subject to fascist tendencies, it can, in fact, even happen here.... so offensive.

And, Laklak, you don't know how right you are -- Winnie the Pooh will, of course, be banned and censored completely, because it is rife with patriarchy and sexism.

Image

This type of hate speech cannot be allowed to stand. A male main character enforcing a massively patriarchal "100 Acre Woods" with one female character relegated to traditional gender normalized roles -- everyone CIS -- and no racial minorities represented. The fact that Winnie the Pooh is even legal, well... that's amazing in and of itself, especially given its propensity to fat-shame the gluttonous Pooh, and make him the butt of jokes when his huge honey-stuffed posterior gets stuck....the fat shaming is horrifying.
“When I was in college, I took a terrorism class. ... The thing that was interesting in the class was every time the professor said ‘Al Qaeda’ his shoulders went up, But you know, it is that you don’t say ‘America’ with an intensity, you don’t say ‘England’ with the intensity. You don’t say ‘the army’ with the intensity,” she continued. “... But you say these names [Al Qaeda] because you want that word to carry weight. You want it to be something.” - Ilhan Omar
