Firstly, Ballard is dead, so he's not mates with anyone.
Secondly, Moorcock may be best known for pulp fantasy (which I happen to like) but he has also written a huge volume of other work across a wide range of genres. Read Mother London, Gloriana, The Brothel in Rosenstrasse or Behold the Man, then come back and dismiss his writing chops!
Thirdly, you're French.

Well, JG used to be best pals with Mike when he was alive.
and I've read both versions (story and novel) of Behold the Man, as well as the Brothel in Rosenstrasse, among other little known works of his. I would have had Gloriana and Byzantium Endures too if I had managed to get my mitts on them back when I was dissecting his work for my MA thesis... Since I got my MA, I haven't even read the Elric stuff again, that's how disgusted with moorcock I am.

Sounds like you were better off without such "understanding".
The word of words would be a poorer place without MM - whatever worthy academics and literary snobs happen to think.

I still wish I hadn't read half the stuff I did... in particular that horrible Jerry Cornelius drek, and had spent the time reading good stuff instead.

Are you in a wine cellar there?

spins blindly in the dark
so close to annihilation.

Just finished reading drowned world wow just wow what an excellent book its slow going in bits but its worth reading through those bits as it all comes together in the end and make you wish he wrote a sequel to it.
Thankyou bella for bringing him to my attention.

Which is probably why she went unnoticed among a crowd of Christians.
