50 Book Challenge 2013 AKA Anna Will Kick Your Arse Again!

Post by anna09 » Tue Jan 01, 2013 5:01 pm

New year! New thread! :{D

Same rules:

Books must be at least 50 pages.
Re-reads count.
Textbooks also count as long as you've read the whole thing.

I'd love to see more people participate this year so read MOAR books!!

I left off tallying after awhile (though I came nowhere near 50) but I will endeavor to keep up this time!

I'm still working on the last half book of 2012 - part of the Guinevere Trilogy - quite good actually - well researched and in my view well written from a first person perspective. Learned a fair bit about the general time frame and geo-politics tho of course it's speculative tho well grounded in general history of the time and region.

Not sure of first of the new year - Future Physics will likely serve to put me to sleep on the plane journey to Australia in a few weeks. :td:

1. Kitchen Diaries 2, Nigel Slater. (Annoying little turd.)
2. Rude Awakenings of a Jane Austen Addict, Laurie Viera Rigler. (Interesting premise but it was stretched out too long.)

3. The White Queen Philippa Gregory. (Historical fiction about Elizabeth Woodville - undemanding)
4. The Murders in the Rue Morgue and other stories E. A. Poe. (Dupin is the forerunner of Holmes - but less exciting)
