It's a kind of game thread, actual discusssion of books is appropriate elsewhere... and I rather liked Tai-Pan when I read it some years ago, unlike other Clavell books like Gai Jin

I have an IPad Air thingy and loads of books on it. Probably 50 (on topic then?).

My point is - I think something is being lost reading on those things. I can do almost too much on the little bugger.

Is the Byzantine Wars any good? I have a bit of a passion for Roman history even the late bits when they became a bit foreign..
