Dewey decimal system in your personal library?

Post by zmonsterz » Sun Jan 16, 2011 7:30 am

Was just wondering... does anyone have a personal library big enough to warrant use of the Dewey Decimal System for cataloguing? Does anyone use it in their own personal libaries?

For those that don't know what it is... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dewey_Deci ... sification

Purdue University considers themselves the largest library to use the Dewey system. Don't know if that's accurate or not, of course.

Sorry should have rephrased the question 'Does anyone on the forums use the Dewey system in their personal libraries?'

I have well over 2000 books, but I use an eclectic system of placement which has evolved to suit me...
Nurse, where the fuck's my cardigan?
And my gin!

Ayaan has a few hundred here, no idea of a system if she has one.
