Stuff worth watching more than once?

Post by Rum » Sat Sep 10, 2016 8:12 pm

Despite all the channels and box sets, not to mention Netflix and the like there are times when I can't decide on something to flop on the sofa with and get involved. There really is some good stuff around these days too so I'm not knocking the state of TV etc.

I watch very few movies or TV series more than once - I don't see the point as a rule, except for the following ..er...exceptions:

The West Wing (twice, right the way through)
Band of Brothers ( three times all the way through)
The Wire (just started from the beginning for the second time)

All brilliant drama - and I think the only entertainment/film/series I have not found boring revisiting.

Forum thread time - over to anyone else?

Agreed on Band of Brothers and The Wire, watched them both twice. I would add:

Six Feet Under
The Sopranos
Rome

And on the comedy end:

Black Books
The Young Ones
Bottom
Red Dwarf

Ones that I have finished, but plan on watching again:

Breaking Bad
Parks and Recreation
Mad Men

Virtually nothing, but then there is little I want to watch even once...

Re-reading books, though, is another matter...
Nurse, where the fuck's my cardigan?

Monty Python episodes I can watch forever and ever :{D

Also worth watching multiple times IMO are Blackadder and League of Gentlemen :prof:
People think "queue" is just "q" followed by 4 silent letters.

But those letters are not silent.

They're just waiting their turn.

I've done West Wing and (part of) House twice. I'll do Breaking Bad again one day. I guess I've probably seen Fawlty Towers 3 or 4 times.

I'll add to my "to watch again" list: First season of True Detective, and Fargo (the tv series).
