If you like vigilantism, stylised rape, paint by numbers type plotlines and unrealistic levels of shooting skills are your thing you'll get plenty of amusement indeed.

I do like Flags of Our Fathers. East Cuntford didn't act in it, but he was the director. Letters from Iwo Jima is sort of OK, though it is a failed attempt at being profound / thoughtful.

I'll probably watch one and leave the rest for my wife to watch...they'll complement her boxed set of Miami Vice. :coffee:

Watched Everest. Made by a woman apparently. Cause of death blabbing on a phone instead of concentrating on getting off the mountain.... :nono:

Bridge of Spies. A mildly interesting story told in a rather uninteresting way.

Sci-fi getting shafted in movies awards as usual. That's why I can't take these things seriously. The Martian was clearly the best film last year.

Don't they do an award for watching the longest film of the year without a comfort break?

I'm about 40 minutes into The Martian and I'm having problems with it already. I think these new drugs I'm on are making me hypersensitive to anything I perceive is not spot on. :/

I do that all the time. The number of SF movies I dismiss as soon as the gravity is wrong..

It's alright, I'm getting past them, and they're small fry in comparison to how good a drama the movie is.

The Martian is incredibly well researched and gravity correct for the most part.

Oh. I thought the unwritten assumption was that "enjoyed" just wasn't adequate enough to explain your feelings about it.
