It's total toss. Bad sfx, way too much zaniness, random plots, too much attention on the assistants, dumb science. But then it is, really, a fairy story meant for children.

The hex-wife liked it. One more warning sign I ignored because she was hot and horny. :sigh:

I can, on average, tolerate about 4 minutes of it at a time.

The older shows, especially the ones with the guy in the scarf, grate on my nerves.

They are the ones I loved (though I doubt I could watch them again). The newer ones, meh...

I think I'd be nine when it started, and I found it thrilling and unmissable, though I look back now and think Norman Hartnell was a poor bit of casting. I liked Patrick Troughton, but I grew out of it about then.

I suppose there are people who could tell you everything about every Doctor.

A couple of years ago, when I was still in a school, I met an autistic 15-year-old who had a cyberman mask on. I told him I remembered the very first episode, and he told me the date when it was broadcast.
