Realized I had not seen the movie - what a cast. 🍿

Netflix version superior IMNSHO...despite the sterling cast for the movie...there was not time to tell the story.

Using my daughter's Netflix account and a random number generator to watch Star Trek Next Generation episodes out of sync.

Seems 4 out of 5 episodes involve Richer flirting with an alien. Watching his gut expand and shrink between seasons is a good game, as is shouting "Fuck off Wesley!" whenever Richard William Wheaton III enters or departs a scene.

I enjoyed 3 Body Problem. I'm now watching episodes of Warrior and The Gentlemen, both on Netflix as well.
People think "queue" is just "q" followed by 4 silent letters.

But those letters are not silent.

They're just waiting their turn.

There's a new season of Judge Rinder available on Amazon. I like Judge Rinder. He's like Judge Judy, except not an asshole.
The litigants on Judge Rinder often speak a very peculiar form of English, though. For instance, the words lent and borrow are frequently reversed, as in: "I borrowed him fifty pounds," or, "I lent fifty pounds off of him." It's fucking bizarre. And it's fucking bizarre that people do this so often.
Another shocking thing is just how bad people's teeth are. I know the whole British-people-have-bad-teeth thing is a cliché. But holy Christ, it appears to be true, at least by watching this show. The litigants' teeth are often so bad -- either missing, or malformed -- that they can't even speak properly because of it. Their mouths are in such a shambles, their teeth in such a desperate state, that's it's causing a speech impediment. WTF?

Quite the visceral shift

Have not made up my mind on it.

Ebert likes it
https://www.rogerebert.com/reviews/civi ... eview-2024

others not so much.
https://www.theguardian.com/film/2024/a ... sten-dunst

https://www.theverge.com/24125462/civil ... and-review

I watched it from behind the lens of someone pirating it and so had audience reactions which were interesting on their own.

That's a very pacific complaint tatt.

Judge Judy has an annoying habit of calling any vehicle a "car," whether it's a car (i.e., automobile) or not. Yesterday, in an episode of Judge Rinder I was watching, it was Judge Rinder's turn. He used the words "van," "truck," and "car" to refer to the same vehicle, as if these three words were interchangeable. WTF?? Am I going mad? Do words not mean things anymore?
