Dogma. In remembrance of Alan Rickman. He was as good as the script and plot allowed him to be. George Carlin was, well, George Carlin and both Matt Damon and Ben Affleck were their usual self-adoring selves. The film itself was an entertaining romp, but left me somewhat disappointed. 5/10.

Anyone else watching the new SyFy series The Expanse? It's rather quite good. They have lots of attention to detail like risen seas on Earth and low gravity dwellers in the asteroid belt being elongated with brittle bones and intolerance to planet gravity. They even have proper, low gravity hair which even Gravity didn't have.

Worth a watch.

Dead Snow 2. A movie featuring Nazi zombies vs Soviet zombies in modern day Norway. Nuff said.

If the worst day of your life consisted of accidentally killing your girlfriend with an axe, chain-sawing your own arm off, and watching in horror as your closest friends were devoured by a zombified Nazi battalion, you'd have to assume that things couldn't get much worse.
In Martin's case, that was only the beginning.

Fuck yeah!!

A video on flushing and cleaning a Parker 61 capillary-fill fountain pen.

Also still mourning the departure of Stephen Fry from QI, but the new host will be Sandi Toksvig, and I can't think of a better choice to follow him.

I'm watching season six of M*A*S*H. Funny, when I was a kid I thought Alan Alda's Hawkeye was funny. Watching episode after episode, I now find him nearly insufferable. His Harpo Marx routine quickly wears thin and I often wish he'd just shut the fuck up and let the other characters talk for a fucking change.

That's what you get for watching them back2back.

Anyway, I just saw that I wrote Harpo Marx. No idea why. I meant Groucho Marx :?

Have you also noticed how Alda is pretty much sitting down in ever scene from the second season on? Lazy bugger! Get on your feet man - it's called 'acting' for a reason you know, not reading!

Started excitedly watching Game of Thrones Season Five after borrowing it from the library, then realized I'd already seen it :ddpan:

Also borrowed Penny Dreadful Season One from the library. Started out pretty awesome. Only three episodes in, though, and I've already lost interest :sigh:

So now I'm watching Louie Season Four. Fucking brilliant stuff

Me before watching the new Westworld: "Meh. Why do we need a new Westworld?"
Me after watching the new Westworld: "Holy shit! Oh fuck yeah!"

FAKK 2 or Heavy Metal 2000 - it's surprisingly good. If you haven't seen it, you should.
