I watched Totems, on Amazon Prime. Pretty decent Cold War drama, in which you're constantly trying to figure out who the "good guys" are. Good cast, well acted, interesting story.

People think "queue" is just "q" followed by 4 silent letters.

But those letters are not silent.

They're just waiting their turn.

Also watched The Tourist, set in Australia. It's okay, I guess.

I like that song. I had to look it up to see who it was. Sounded a bit like Crowded House, but it turned out to be Paul Kelly, someone I'd never heard of.

Paul Kelly is an Australian treasure.

Really enjoying this and like Shantaram it feels real....unlike fictional stories...this is semi-autobiographical and it shows.
Boy Swallows Universe is the 5th most-watched Netflix show in the world this week

Watching True Detective season three. Just watched season two after an aborted attempt a couple of years ago. It was barely OK - a let down after season one - which is the greatest TV series ever IMO. Three is not bad, better than two. Season four is coming out weekly at the moment and is getting good reviews. I hope it lives up to the promise set by season one.

Stefanie Martini has incredible eyes.

I want to watch it but don't have an HBO Max subscription :( At some point I reckon I'll subscribe for a month, binge-watch any shows I want to watch, and then cancel.

I'm glad I was watching Blue Heelers while I was in recovery instead of Prime Suspect....the latter is so dark and depressing about human nature...
Gripping TV tho. It was remastered for a Blu Ray release 🍿
To think I was going to cancel BritBox and they came back to me with a $1 for the next month deal. I took it.

Hard to see a future Dr Who here... :thinks:

Like Charlie

When I wintered in S Africa for a few years I always meant to go shark cage diving.
So a few days before I was to leave I signed up ....woke up at 6 am on the day to a phone call cancelling. 5m waves outside the place we were staying.....no shark diving.. :( One missed adventure I regret.

Enjoying the series and learning a bit of history too. Three guys at small but bloody battle Botha, Ghandi and WInston Churchill - Charlie visits the site where the battle occurred ....the bloodiest small piece of ground anywhere is the claim.
