The Monty Python thread

Post by Faithfree » Sun Mar 01, 2009 3:18 pm

I started a long standing Monty Python thread back in the olde RDF days. Time for a revamp; post gratuitous Monty Python stuff here.

Although it may look like a forum, this site is actually a crowd-sourced science project modelling the slow but inexorable heat death of the universe.

And the science of the 11th century, of course.

Similar to that still used by creationists.

Oi, at least they apply some deductive reasoning.
"The fact is that far more crime and child abuse has been committed by zealots in the name of God, Jesus and Mohammed than has ever been committed in the name of Satan. Many people don't like that statement but few can argue with it."

And some very dodgy scales.

O Lord please don't burn us,
don't grill or toast your flock.
Don't put us on the barbecue,
or simmer us in stock.
Don't braise or bake or boil us
or stir fry us in a wok.
Oh please don't lightly poach us
or bast us with hot fat.
Don't fricassee or roast us
or boil us in a vat,
and please don't stick thy servant Lord
in a Rotissomat.

Amen

Useful input to the forum rules discussion?

Have to have this classic (has a certain resonance as well)

and this seems appropriate somehow too (in more than one way) ..

That's one reason I suggest people put links as well as youtube code.
