Anyone watched the series from the 1960s? Is it good? :dono:

My mother probably watched it ... or hold on, that was The Prisoner.

She probably watched Danger Man as as well, although google tells me it was called Secret Agent in the US.

I know that, but I figured more British/Irish people would've watched it.

And I love The Prisoner, so that's why I'm asking...

Danger man was pretty good from the reruns that I saw. Not anything like as bizarre as the Prisoner but definitely worth a watch. It's a sort of TV James Bond, grittier than The Saint.

I was just looking at the DVDs, wondering if it's something that I'd watch again if I bought it - or if I should see if Blockbuster carries it and just rent it.

You can probably rent it from Amazon. I wouldn't say it was likely to have the reviewability of The Prisoner. If you like things like that though, it is a good example of the genre.

There are a few clips on YouTube - might give you some idea of what it was like.

It's said it's the dangerman character is the same that becomes No6...

McGoohan was asked that question on numerous occasions - and just like No.6, he always refused to answer. :what:

I think there was an episode of Danger Man filmed at Portmerion which inspired McGoohan to use it as "The Village".

Now that you mention it, that does ring a bell.
