He could put on his Iron Man suit, kill Hitler and end the war.
Yeah well that's just, like, your opinion, man.

Re: If you could remake the movie Casablanca today...
I posted this at that other site, it's a nadsat joke.
Some droogs stop at the moloko-plus bar, but they have no cutter, as none of them have pee and em type rabbits.
So the most bolshy droog, their leader-like, gavorettes 'Lets itty from here, my droogies,
to find some buggaty domy to crast. I messel a tomtick of the old synthamesc'. So off they go, into the nochy raz, to crast some pretty polly.
Skorry enough they find a likely domy. They crack the door, and what oozhassny events do they viddy,
sloochating right before their glazzies all out-popping? This starry bratchny, with his neezhnies around his nogas,
doing the old in-out in-out with this nagoy malchick!
'Oh, my brothers, what is this raskazz?', gavorettes their most baddiwad leader.
'You grahzny old sod! Where is your baboochka zhenna?
For what are you lubbilubbing this malchick, with your merzky rookers all over his sharries and your starry yarbles all drooping-like?'
'Prestoopniks!', the ded horns, 'Get out or I'll call the millicents!'
You can imagine, oh my brothers, how this made those gloopy prestoopniks guff and smech and how they filly the veck.
They fist his rot till his zoobies break and the red, red krovy flows, and kick him in his yarbles real horrorshow.
The leader gavorettes, 'This makes me razdaz and bezoomny-like. You should not be giving a malchick the old in-out in-out!'
And he gavorettes his droogs, 'Slooshy my slovos, droogs! Itty and shavt a sladky, molodoy devotchka, with wet, wet goobers,
and round, round sharries and luscious glory all long and dark-like!' We'll teach this merzky old nazz how to lubilub a sharp!'
The starry ded creeches, 'No! I can't sod a devotchka! I'm a priest, one of Bog's own Charlies! It's against the Laws of Bog!'
The prestoopnik shows a britva and gavorettes the Bog's Own Charlie, 'I'll razrez your grahzny pan-handle off if you don't!'
Now Bog's own charlie is platching . 'Ok, I will do the old in-out in-out with the devotchka. But you must promise me tree veshchs'.
This interessovats the leader, who shazats 'And what, my starry brother, are these tree veshchs?
'Odin, she must be blind-like, so her glazzies cannot viddy what I'm doing.'
'Dva, she must be deaf-like, so her ookos cannot hear what I'm doing.'
'And tree?', says the leader.
'Tree, she must have bolshy groodys'

I've never even seen this movie.

Re: If you could remake the movie Casablanca today...
http://filmdrunk.uproxx.com/2011/04/the ... aving-seenBritish movie rental company Lovefilm recently released the results of a reader poll that asked which films people lied about having seen. They found that four out of five people had lied about what movies they’d seen to impress people. The Godfather topped their list of most lied about, with almost a third of people reporting that they’d pretended to have seen it. Here’s the full list:
1. The Godfather (30 per cent)
2. Casablanca (13 per cent)
3. Taxi Driver (11 per cent)
4. 2001: A Space Odyssey (9 per cent)
5. Reservoir Dogs (8 per cent)
6. This Is Spinal Tap (7 per cent)
7. Apocalypse Now (6 per cent)
8. Goodfellas (5 per cent)
=8. Blade Runner (5 per cent)
10. The Great Escape (4 per cent) [PressAssociation via SlashFilm]
So lying about having seen a movie… that’s something people do? Who’s actually impressed by this? Ooh, you sat on your fat ass eating butter-dunked popcorn for two hours, let’s cast your effigy in bronze. The closest I ever come to lying about what movies I’ve seen is when I meet an older person who’s interested that I write a movie blog and I have to pretend I give a sh*t about Kurosawa.

The only one i haven't seen more than once is Taxi Driver. There are 3 or 4 that I have seen over 10 times. Of course, I might be lying...laklak wrote:I've seen all of them, some multiple times.

Seen the all except Casablanca which I've only seen bits off. Was only a child when I saw The Great Escape. Wasn't impressed by Spinal Tap, I think I laughed twice. Never seen the originals of Blade Runner or Apocalypse Now.

Anyone who would even for a moment entertain the idea of remaking Casablanca should be beaten to death and then thrown in gaol for a very, very long time.
