I enjoyed the recent Avengers one. Avengers Assembled I think it was called, but only really because I want to boff Captain America really badly.

The Avengers Assemble. (Presumably there's some Lego action going on, but I didn't see it.)stripes4 wrote:I enjoyed the recent Avengers one. Avengers Assembled I think it was called, but only really because I want to boff Captain America really badly.

Really? Captain America? Out of anyone in that cast he is definitely last on/not on the list. It goes: Tony Stark, Loki, Black Widow, Hawkeye, Bruce Banner. Bruce would be higher on the list but I would be a little bit scared of the whole turning into a giant green monster thing.stripes4 wrote:I enjoyed the recent Avengers one. I know. I don't understand it myself. Tony Stark would be second, but Captain America has just got that face. So nom nom nom. Thor is of course all man, but that voice would make me laugh and it would put me off.rachelbean wrote:Really? Captain America? Out of anyone in that cast he is definitely last on/not on the list. Don't get me wrong, I thought it was visually stunning, but ultimately it left me a bit flat, because it was all so schmaltzy. Hollywood knows how to do spectacular, but it's a bit short on how to do good.
I don't like 3D anyway, because it gives me a terrible headache and looks pretty naff.

And the next time someone nakes an alien film please, please, please give your artists a crash course on evolution and make sure they understand it so the creatures at least look compatible.

I thought the 3D was the best thing about that movie. It was fucking gorgeous to start with, but the 3D gave it depth and more "reality". And the scene where the shuttle swings round behind the warbirds works a hell of a lot better in 3D. I saw a Spooky fall in with a flight of Cobras once in exactly the same fashion. I got goosebumps.hackenslash wrote:Don't get me wrong, I thought it was visually stunning, but ultimately it left me a bit flat, because it was all so schmaltzy. King of Kong
Documentary about world champion classic arcade game players, and especially Donkey Kong. Excellent stuff.

Saw "Chronicle" the other day, no surprises, glad we missed it in the theaters.

The Incredble Hulk. Hadn't bothered watching it before but found it fairly entertaining.
I was amused to see that Lou Ferrigno had a cameo part as a security guard as well as doing the voice of the Hulk.
