I'm watching seasons 2 & 3 of Luther, with Black Heimdall. I didn't care much for the first season but I do like Idris Elba, and particularly Ruth Wilson. Her character is kind of annoying but she's so beautiful that I don't care. Luther can also be annoying the way he just pulls things out of his ass (as opposed to Sherlock's deductive reasoning based on observed clues) but Elba does the best he can with the sometimes ridiculous lines he's given. It does seem odd that London is so full of clever serial killers but if there weren't then I suppose they wouldn't have a show.
In the third season, I particularly like the character Det. Chief Inspector Erin Gray, played by the remarkably beautiful Nikki Amuka-Bird.

There's serial killers all over the fucking place. Ever watch Criminal Minds? They catch at least 20 of them every year.

Been watching Bluebloods. Bit religious and OTT patriotic, but enjoyable. The family dynamics are great.
Yeah well that's just, like, your opinion, man.

Anyway, I watched the first episode of the BBC adaptation of Wolf Hall tonight. Or to be more exact, I dipped in and out of it while I was catching up on tennis highlights. I've recorded it anyway for later viewing. From what I saw, it looked very good ... much, much better than the likes of The Tudors or The White Queen. I stopped watching the latter after just a few episodes.

I am contemplating giving that series a look. The novel on which it is based won the Man Booker - as did its sequel, the second in a proposed trilogy.

I wanna watch Luther. I enjoyed the two random episodes I've seen.

I'm going to give up on Sherlock. Seriously crap writing.

Every episode (apart from the first) is a confusing jumble of story lines. Really disappointing after the first episode (other than its fatal flaw in (lack of) reasoning).

Huh. That's odd. I don't remember it being confusing at all. And I'm easily confused :nutter:

1st episode I enjoyed; 2nd episode I didn't think was all that great; and the 3rd episode was shit. I'm not committing any more time than that. It had its chance, and it blew it! :lay:

My memory is too poor to recall specific episodes. I just remember the show being brilliant and loving it. I particularly liked that fellow who plays Watson, who played Watson. Ah, wait a tick.* Martin Freeman. That's him, right? Yeah, he's very good. I do know you don't care for Benedict Cumberbatch. I was never a fan of his before this. I thought he was annoying as fuck in Star Trek. But he totally won me over in Sherlock.

Anyway, no worries.** We can disagree on Sherlock. I won't respect you any less. Well, slightly less. But only slightly.

I really liked Freeman as Watson in the first ep. But he just became a whiny bitch after that.

As a subject of the Crown, you are honour bound to like Sherlock. Dissent will see you deported to the colonies. Oh, hang on.
