But compare it to American TV, and sudden it doesn't seem so bad.Rum wrote:I agree. Embarrassing and poo like for the most part.Lozzer wrote:Little Britain?tattuchu wrote:Being a Yank, my knowledge of British TV is severely limited. But from what I know, my favorites are:

Some of the skits in Little Britain fell flat for me. I asked the English friend who'd introduced me to the show, "Ash, am I missing something? Is there some cultural reference I'm not familiar with, maybe? Because I didn't find that skit the slightest bit funny." And his response was, "Dunno. It wasn't funny for me either." But then some of it was absolutely hilarious and, I thought, quite brilliant

People think "queue" is just "q" followed by 4 silent letters.
But those letters are not silent.
They're just waiting their turn.

Oh, Spaced was so good.
I ♥ Black Books as well
Not sure whether it's been mentioned already, but Green Wing was very funny. Misfits (recently on C4, won a BAFTA) is the best comedy drama I've ever seen. That's not saying TOO much and I definitley couldn't comment on whether either were one of the "Greatest" British TV shows, but it and the others I mentioned are definitely my highlights
