Little Britain? :ask: Pile of steaming shite.
I agree. Embarrassing and poo like for the most part.

But compare it to American TV, and sudden it doesn't seem so bad.
Some of the skits in Little Britain fell flat for me. I asked the English friend who'd introduced me to the show, "Ash, am I missing something? Is there some cultural reference I'm not familiar with, maybe? Because I didn't find that skit the slightest bit funny." And his response was, "Dunno. It wasn't funny for me either." But then some of it was absolutely hilarious and, I thought, quite brilliant :dono:

People think "queue" is just "q" followed by 4 silent letters.

But those letters are not silent.

They're just waiting their turn.

Shooting Stars (The Larry Hagman one was a classic)
Vic Reeves' Big Night Out
The Sky At Night
Open All Hours
The Two Ronnies
Only Fools And Horses
The Office
Blackadder
Porridge
Monty Python's Flying Circus
Coupling
Bergerac (Best theme ever)
Inspector Morse
Smack The Pony

And, one of the greatest TV shows ever made. Criminally underrated and largely ignored: Glam Metal Detectives.

Fucking win. It's weird you say it, I was just watching it last month and it is still as hilarious as I remember.

Oh, Spaced was so good.
I ♥ Black Books as well :)

Not sure whether it's been mentioned already, but Green Wing was very funny. Misfits (recently on C4, won a BAFTA) is the best comedy drama I've ever seen. That's not saying TOO much and I definitley couldn't comment on whether either were one of the "Greatest" British TV shows, but it and the others I mentioned are definitely my highlights :)
