Been bingeing war movies. Glad Netflix is curating.
Glad I caught A Bridge Too Far as it just switched over to pay for view. Not the best movie of the genre but such a cast.

......

Watching this

True events. Big time oversaturated colour, tho that may have been on purpose as a flashback. Lovely accents. Some pretty good flying sequences and a bit of swiped Star Wars music :thinks:

......

This was more moving than I guessed from the start, mainly they had a number of the people that were there talking at the end.

Well done Canadian film on a shoe string budget.....tip of the spear....the first assault team to reach and capture their objective on D-Day. 1600 landed...1200 casualties
They had a couple of Germans who were there as well.
Getting munched by mozzies.

I'm cacluating how many war widows might be available if WW3 breaks out, actually. Silver lining to every cloud...is my belief. :read:

nother step up in colorization so films from the time very immediate
Outstanding documentary with brilliant actual and true colourised footage never fully released until now, thanks to the release of war press archives and war time photographers.
It's maybe trying to stuff too much into the short series but the colourization is so immediate it's far better than anything I've seen....and a fair bit of stuff I have not seen. 🍿
