Re: He's Batman?
Apparently it is not in a Batman movie but in the sequel to Man of Steel. So he might not even do the Bruce Wayne thing much. They could put anyone in the batsuit and it would be all the same.

The last few Batman films have focussed on the dark side although how I remember Batman as a child, there was a quirky humour as well as the staid portrayal. Maybe Robin needs to make a comeback!

Is this where I admit I've never seen a Batman film?

Personally, I live the super hero moves even though I'm not a comic book person and I don't really know anything more about the characters or history other than what's in whatever movie I'm watching. We have an IMAX theater 2 minutes down the street, and those movies are great in IMAX.

Affleck once played Superman.

I'm the same as you. I don't think I've ever read a superhero comic book in my life, but I have seen most of the superhero movies.Kristie wrote:In case anyone else wants a link. http://www.cnn.com/2013/08/22/showbiz/b ... ?hpt=en_c1

It's all a bit predictable. Now, Batman v Johnny Fartpants I might watch.

Eff, Wayne being a secondary character is no excuse to miscast him, especially if using an A list actor.rEvolutionist wrote:Apparently it is not in a Batman movie but in the sequel to Man of Steel. Just because Affleck is listed under the A's in the Screen Actor's Guild Rolodex is no reason to call him an A-list actor.Svartalf wrote:Eff, Wayne being a secondary character is no excuse to miscast him, especially if using an A list actor.rEvolutionist wrote:Apparently it is not in a Batman movie but in the sequel to Man of Steel. I expect Mr. Affleck will bring a subtlety and nuance to the role that we haven't seen since Clooney donned the cowl

If that's the same subtlety he brought Daredevil, that's a miscasting, and no mistake.

I doubt I've ever seen a Batman movie either - not a memorable one anyway.Bella Fortuna wrote:Is this where I admit I've never seen a Batman film?
I'll also confess I've never heard of Ben Affleck, but then again I so very rarely watch movies that there should be no surprises there.
