He is a very talented person who also suffers from clinical depression, anxiety and pathological insecurity.

IMO "House" is overrated - first few seasons where great - then it all turned into when oh when will he shag Cuddy? (If he already didn't) - i stopped watching two years ago because it was repetitive and predictable.

Not so. If you watch the seasons in order (as opposed to isolated episodes) there are some very unpredictable story arcs that run through each. The end of the last season was particularly mind-boggling!

I tried to watch it - (we downloaded it via torrents) - however I just didn't have the nerves or patience to watch more than 15 min. It's just typically Hollywood-like drama purported by some people's obsession with bohemian type intellectuals and misanthropes.

Not my cup of tea. :tea:

It is unrealistic, contrived, repetitive and requires tons of suspension of disbelief. However, it is still wonderfully scripted and throws up some fantastic dialogue gems on a regular basis. I am happy to say I am hooked.

As a huge fan of A bit if Fry and Laurie, Blackadder, not the nine O' clock news, I was shocked to hear Hugh Larie talk like that in House. But I loved the first two seasons. I didn't care much for the later seasons, specially the whole competition to hire new staff was a bit much.

Some great Housisms. :)

Trying to 'legally' download the first series of House but its crawling along despite having more seeds than bad weed. I'm only trying to download one episode at a time. Load of gick. It's won't reach above 18kbps. I don't get it.

Torrent? If so check with your ISP throttles during certain times. I know BT do. (Unless you encrypt/use an off shore VPN)

What is the ratio of leechers to seeders? If it is high, then you have a lot of people fighting over the seeders' bandwidth - choose another torrent with a better ratio or live with it. Just make sure you have no restrictions on your download speed and leave it on over night for a few days.

I think that's it XC. 4 leechers to every seed.
Oh well, looks like my comp will be on while I'm away at Manchester and it should all be ready when I get back.

Came across an article this morning about a new guerilla-marketing ad campaign for the show: Snakes on a Cane

It's funny how Fox can have both 'House' and Fox News.
"The fact is that far more crime and child abuse has been committed by zealots in the name of God, Jesus and Mohammed than has ever been committed in the name of Satan. Many people don't like that statement but few can argue with it."
