Yep :coffee:
If there were an explosion next to oxygen-storage, wouldn't that make an impressive explosion (of course with no sound travelling where there wasn't air or another conductor....)

The New Star Trek Film Sucks

Post by Transgirlofnofaith » Sun Jul 26, 2009 11:22 am

THEY DESTROY VULCAN!

Now you don't have to see that shitty movie. I didn't bother seeing it in theatres, and I got sick of waiting until it was on DVD, so I checked the plot on Wikipedia. JJ Abrams is an asshole and I hope he gets cancer. I do not accept this new timeline shit. I will never support this movie or any of its derivatives. I'm not in the habit of burning hard copies of downloaded movies, but I might make an exception in this case.

Star Trek just isn't Star Trek without Vulcan. :nono:

Oh yeah. That fucking pissed me off no end. Half-Vulcan my arse. 2 completely different species from 2 completely different planets with 2 completely different evolutions...? Impossible. Also, having sex with an alien should be deemed every bit immoral as having sex with a goat. Fucking stupid I thought. And their lazers having recoil? Me arse :lay: In fact.. the more I think about it the more I hate this film.
I think you're holding it to a higher standard than it deserves. It was just a movie.
Me bollox. If I had of made this movie those glaring fuck-ups would not be there. The opinion it was just a movie I do not agree with at all. If you're going to spend that much on something and then sell it to a science-fiction audienec you'd wanna have your facts straight. I thought they did have their facts straight in the beginning when a hole blow in the side of the hull sucking a person and all sound out in to space but, only 2 minutes after this they completely contradicted it by having the Romulan ship groaning as the doors opened.

:judge:
+ 10000000000000

I hate this movie more than I have the ability to articulate. It shits on the face of what should be good sci-fi and treats the audience like we're all 2 years old. Fuck this movie and the warp drive it rode in on.

This movie was rubbish after the first scene but it really sealed it's fate with the introduction of "Red Matter". :ddpan:

The product placement was atrocious but it happens in other stuff like I Robot and almost everything else Holywood makes so I just blanked it but the absolutely shit science really fucked me off, it wasn't even the kind of shit movie science that you can ignore, it was so blatantly retarded that I cringed for more than half the film.

At what? Sorry but did you hate Sunshine for the same reason? What about Star Wars with ships able to travel at light speed.. ?

Yes it is a movie, and yes it does bend the current knowledge we have of science but you are both wrong, to the order of £400 million dollars and a possible nom for best picture wrong..

The monetary value is irrelevant, it just shows how much more they wasted on making something this shit and works against the film, the possible nom just goes to show how many people don't have a clue in the world. :razzle:

Even still. Having sex with an alien is wrong. And pointless. You might as well ejaulate over frog spawn for all the reproductive success it would give you.

If one drop of "Red Matter" is sufficient to make a star or a planet implode, and if Spock's mission in the cheesy spinny ship was to implode one star, why come did Spock need to bring along several hundred liters of "Red Matter?"

Also, the mining attachment on the bad guy ship was unnecessarily phalic and the fight scenes on it were thus intensely homo-erotic.

Liked the green slut. Alien women are the embodiment of our favorite split infinitive.

Kirk was a dumb-ass and their "command structure" was laughable.

Obviously you weren't watching the original series. Kirk puts his dirk in green when he finds it.
