Watch the movie first - then this.
Partner is away caring for her mum so a couple or 3 movies a day not a challenge when Jude's not around.
Still watching a some motorcycle Vloggers too - but I can do that while doing other things online.
She and Charly Sinewan cover both areas I've been to but from a motorcycle rider view and places I will never get to but enjoy seeing as well as the motorcycle aspect.
She was in Chile when we were and she got chased out of Peru when we had to leave from Chile so some parallel experiences and timing plus I spent 5 winters in Western Cape South Africa and they both covered areas I did not get to in a non tourist way.
She's really matured as a rider and a vlogger ( does it all herself ...filming and editing ) and has over 1 million subscribers.
She's been on road for 6 seasons and Charly for 12. She's a professional geologist so brings very interesting insight to her travels.
She rides an offroad version of what I ride here in Aus so there is common ground there as well as the travel.
Both are tough tho Charlie falls more and has a support team for video edit and friends in the motorcycle biz everywhere plus his BMW sponsor. I was shocked at the altitude they were riding in the Himalaya's ...she was nearly in serious trouble with snow, ice and hypothermia.
I can barely afford to keep riding on a pension despite the insane fuel mileage the CB300 gets ( 70 mpg ) and anymore travel likely off the table for a while.
So live vicariously with a little local riding for fun and a long term blog to share.

Lot of riders including me would shy away from this one.In this episode I am attempting to scale the hardest mountain pass of South Africa: Sani Pass. Right at the border between South Africa and Lesotho lies this pass, and it is not for the faint hearted. These were the steepest, most washed away tracks I've ever attempted and without the option to slow down or pause, it was an adrenaline filled race to the top. HECTIC!

Top Gun new movie. No you don't walk away from a plane disintegrating around you at Mach 10 and ask for a glass water Tom. You look like a glass of water not ask for one if that happens.

Oscars now irrelevant for me - had been drifting that way since Roma - the slap last year was entertaining
This year - junk wins for inclusivity and paying debts. I like Michelle Yeo but the film was an unentertaining mess.
Then a fat guy stage effort that no one went to see wins Best Actor over the highly entertaining Elvis. Bah humbug

Yeah, I don't understand how EEAAO could win give 50% of people think it was total rubbish.

For me the Oscars will forever be associated with, "Keep my wife's name out of your fucking mouth!"

Disney is going to have Michelle Yeoh play the part of Kwan Yin, my patron saint, in the upcoming American Born Chinese. First, though, I need to find time to watch EEAAO.
Re: Movies of the good kind we have looked upon.
Well we will be interested in your take.
Meanwhile on Netflix
I was lucky enough to see Adam Lambert when he brought down the house at American Idol. It was a spooky experience. One of those performances that get goosebumps. He did Mad World and the songs writer called after the performance and congratulated him. Hard to find a quality original from the performance that catches Simon Cowell's reaction and the rising electricity in the theatre,
Only bigotry kept him from winning that season.
He said his dream was to front Queen.
Now he is...

This is a good doc on both the band and Adam.
BTW if you have not seen Bohemian Rhapsody .....you need to if you like rock n roll

Re: Movies of the good kind we have looked upon.
I had to pick up an order of pork belly at Von Hanson's meats today, and since it's near my usual library and a half price bookstore, I went to those places as well. I borrowed a ton of movies from the library, and picked up a couple of video titles at the used book store. I've been meaning to watch these for a long time, so besides the visceral thrill of browsing and buying, I figure owning them will make watching them more likely. I picked up the movie Donnie Darko and the DVD set for the PBS mini-series I, Claudius. I'll be waiting a long time for some of the better titles available at the library, including Top Gun: Mavverick, Vesper, and EEAAO, but in the meantime, I have, among other things, Elvis, Emily The Criminal, and the first seasons of Picard and Better Call Saul. I have too much media. I'll have to take out a second life.
Re: Movies of the good kind we have looked upon.
I'd pay for that
