I saw that film in Sheffield they put on a screening for the locals I don't know about a 'shocked generation' but I do remember there was a big round of applause and cheers when they showed the shot of the devastated town hall .
I think they picked the wrong city, we had Blunket as the head of our council a nuke might have been better for the city in the long run .
