I finally got around to watching Moana. It was pretty much your standard Disney hero's journey type of thing. But there was enough fresh about it to keep it interesting, and I thought it was genuinely amusing at times. The animation was also very beautiful. I could've done without the songs, as I'm not really a fan of musicals, and I thought for the most part the songs were rather bland and generic. However, two of the songs were surprisingly fantastic: "You're Welcome," sung by Dwayne Johnson, and "Shiny," sung by Jemaine Clement. "Shiny" was so funny, and so well sung, that I thought it was Tim Curry at first. I had to look it up to find out it was actually the wonderful Jemaine clement.

People think "queue" is just "q" followed by 4 silent letters.

But those letters are not silent.

They're just waiting their turn.

Then I watched Luca, from Pixar/Disney. This was a big surprise, as it's been a while since a Pixar film has really done anything for me, despite me loving their earlier movies. This film seemed different than anything they'd made previously. It was also astonishingly beautiful to look at.

Moana is one of my favorite movies. Those two songs are excellent.

Saw 'Crank' last night. Jason Statham. 2008.

A five-star two-star film.

The public sex scene is a laugh.

The public sex scene was played for laughs, but it's still a bit rapey.

It was back in the 2000's, so it's OK.

Started watching Mortal Engines. Stopped about 40m in. That'll do for me.

I've seen it. For some reason, I added it to my watch list, despite knowing how bad it is.
